I haven't seen any reports, but a 8.9 and widespread tsunami activity in the Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal seem likely to have caused undersea cable problems. Any status reports available?
No confirmed damage reports from any of the major PTTs or ISPs in the area. But they have not said "all clear" either. As usual, congestion due to mass calling in/out of the region may be indistinguishable from blocking due to damaged facilities. A lot of the on-scene reporting appears to be via satellite facilities.
