Italy: the latest member of the blackout club

Joining the Northeast parts of the United States and Canada, parts of
Denmark and Sweden; Italy is the latest country to experience widespread
power failure of the electrical grid.

According to the Italian national electric company ACEA, power is out
in almost the entire country.

The cause is not known.
