This was given as an exemplar to the discussion explaining the process for passing laws in the US Congress, in particular the leadership power to block votes from occurring, using a recent event. Usually, the word "rant" would describe something not based on fact, but instead personal opinion. Are you saying this is not factual? Don't you read the newspaper? How about verified the actual Congressional Record?
I'll give it a bit of leeway on technical discussions, but when it turns into rants about political parties and/or candidates, I don't wanna hear it (on this list), and I really don't think anyone else does either.
Ah, so the basis of the objection is the mention of the actual name of a political party in the current leadership? I would have thought a gerbil was merely somebody in a cage.
