how close is the site of the trade center to 60 Hudson? i've looked at my map of NYC, and it could be pretty close, or could be a little ways away.
about half a mile or so north.
there is a good chance that any fiber running past the site is toast, and of course, the odds of getting a connection using the local PSTN in Manhattan are essentially zero right now.
in my experience so far, the internet is slow in places, but still okay. does anyone remember using irc during the gulf war? -- |-----< "CODE WARRIOR" >-----| codewarrior () daemon org * "ah! i see you have the internet twofsonet () graffiti com (Andrew Brown) that goes *ping*!" andrew () crossbar com * "information is power -- share the wealth."
