[warning sub-operational] what's cool is that andre found that there is some natural `tiering' of ASes just according to (almost any topological) quantitative connectivity metrics http://www.caida.org/~broido/bgp/asoutdeg.html (math-heavy, no ASes identified, just illustrates that tiering has some sense manifested in real data, which i think is pretty cool) // .... To be sure, mathematics can be extended to any branch of knowledge, including economics, provided the concepts are so clearly defined as to permit accurate symbolic representation.
