You can trying to create a new payload with your custom payload and use it. If you want to try this way, you need to look at current MSF payload modules. Also are you trying encode your custom shellcode? Regards, cb 2011/10/13 Enis Sahin <enis.c.sahin () gmail com>
Hello list, I'm trying to use custom payloads within Metasploit but there is not much documentation, examples about it on the Internet nor in the new Metasploit book. I have my payload in shellcode format in a text file. What I'm doing is setting the "payloadstr" option as the path to my text file and using the custom payload with a file format exploit. When I open the malicious file in my victim machine I don't see the expected output. I'm trying to understand if the problem lies in my shellcode or the way I utilize it in Metasploit. I'd appreciate any pointers. Thanks.
