metasploit integration with JTR & vSploit

I just read an article at Dark Reading where HD Moore mentioned integration of John-the-Ripper into the commercial 
version of Metasploit.  Will this integration also happen with the freely-available metasploit framework?
 
Speaking of integration, where might I find the vSploit modules mentioned in the Rapid7 blog post by Marcus Carey?  
These looks like just what I need!  I don't think they were in the rev from yesterday.
