Hi Terry In reality there is no different since Nessus uses nmap initially I guess you could say that Nessus will give you open ports and vulnerabilities, but you could do almost the same using the Nmap Scripting Engine Also Nmap gives you more options on the port scanning part then Nessus but that can be scripted/configured to some extent also in Nessus Regards kim Den 16-01-2011 05:26, Terry skrev:
