thanks for the links! But both these solutions use the browser to see the
paswords.

is there not a simple tool /command available to do this? I am presuming the
*.db files are encrypted ... but if the master password is not set, then
which key was used to encrypt it?

N00b questions :
I have a dump of files from the remote system which
include Administratorcert8.db , Administratorkey3.db and a couple of
.sqlite
files
i know i can use sqlite3 to open the .sqlite files ...but what about the
.db
files? (sqlite gives me an error) also, in which of these files are the
stored passwords present?
rgds,
