<Looking for logs>

If you are talking about the target it all depends on the OS and the level
of logging that is set to. In metasploit you can set the logging detail and
to what file you want to log to. It is part of the enviroment.

I wanted to know if there is any way to find out the visible effects of an
exploit on the OS ( or some kind of logs are generated).
