VNC Payload

I had just assumed the latency was an issue due to the "cut down" version packaged with MS. I have run this against a few machines of varying types, both servers and workstations, and it seems fairly consistent. I figured it's not fast, but it sure is nice to have a desktop!!. I am surprised to hear that anyone is having a different experience. On Tue, 28 Sep 2004, Israel Torres wrote:
Hi, Do you have specs of the machine? I've run it in a vmware session on a p4 2.8/256MB and it runs nicely (read: not sluggish)... how is your cmd session in comparison? Perhaps you need to beef up your hardware memory? Just a thought. The VNC session is very sluggish. I checked the CPU and it is almost idle. Is anyone else having this problem? eip
