metasploit successful

Hey guys, 

I rebuilt a windows2000 without patches. Metasploit tool was successful. I 
have tried the win32_reverse_vncinject and win32_reverse and both worked. I 
also tried the printer exploit using win32_reverse payload, and it worked 
too. This is very cool! 

So you experts, if systems are patched, are there any other ways of figuring 
out how to tell that it is still vulnerable?
