Sept 17 (Interfax-Northwest) - State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov said more vigorous efforts must be made to fight cyber- terrorism. "The time has come to create laws on fighting online terrorism," Gryzlov told the G8 countries' parliamentary speakers in St.Petersburg while speaking about the fight against international terrorism. "The terrorists have been using the Internet to organize terrorist attacks and to disseminate terror propaganda," Gryzlov said. "The international laws currently in effect, including the Council of Europe's 2001 Convention on Cybercrime, are no longer sufficient to effectively resist the terrorists, whose operations are becoming increasingly sophisticated and large-scale," said Gryzlov. _________________________________ HITBSecConf2006 - Malaysia The largest network security event in Asia 32 internationally renowned speakers 7 tracks of hands-on technical training sessions.
