Coca-Cola said an Atlanta employee broke into the company's computer
system and copied salaries and Social Security numbers for about 450
workers.

Coke believes that the information never left the building but warned
employees to check bank statements and credit card records to be on
the safe side.

The company acknowledged the break-in Tuesday and said it had not
notified the police. It said that an internal investigation continues
and that the police would be notified if that was appropriate.

When asked if the employee responsible had been fired, spokeswoman
Lori Billingsley would only said that "the appropriate disciplinary
action has been taken with the employee."

The company said the incident happened a few weeks ago.
