Almost six months after the creation of these mailing lists, even longer after the creation of the defacement mirror, CERT finally subscribes to one of the three lists.
This is just a random thought, and not really meant as a conCERTed defense, but is it possible that CERT has subscribed previously via a mailbox not obviously registered to them? I mean, just because it doesn't say 'user () cert org' is not an airtight indication that it doesn't go to a CERT person. I only subscribe to 'defaced-gm' at work, but to both that one and 'defaced' at home. Don't get me wrong, I fully agree that CERT should be taking advantage of the mirror. It's a great, almost-real-time resource. I'm just not necessarily convinced that they've been ignoring it up to now. Cheers, RGF Robert G.
