The move represents a rare coordinated action across a broad swath of the industry -- 97 companies in total-- and demonstrates the depth of animosity toward the Trump ban. The amicus brief was filed with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, which is expected to rule within a few days on an appeal by the administration after a federal judge in Seattle issued late Friday a temporary restraining order putting the entry ban on hold. The brief comes at the end of a week of nationwide protests against the plan -- as well as a flurry of activity in Silicon Valley, a region that sees immigration as central to its identity as an innovation hub. - - - --Lauren-- "White House" comment line: (347) 781-4664 REPORT Fake News Here! - https://factsquad.com CRUSHING the Internet Liars - https://vortex.com/crush-net-liars STOP President Trump - https://vortex.com/stop-president-trump - - - Lauren Weinstein (lauren () vortex com): https://www.vortex.com/lauren Lauren's Blog: https://lauren.vortex.com Founder: Network Neutrality Squad: https://www.nnsquad.org PRIVACY Forum: https://www.vortex.com/privacy-info Co-Founder: People For Internet Responsibility: https://www.pfir.org/pfir-info Member: ACM Committee on Computers and Public Policy Google+: https://google.com/+LaurenWeinstein Twitter: https://twitter.com/laurenweinstein Tel: +1 (818) 225-2800 - - - The correct term is "Internet" NOT "internet" -- please don't fall into the trap of using the latter.
