It is important to ask what happens as soon as you leave home. I’d l ike to know what the speed is between two points. What happens when a Hong Kong user connects to a Korean user? What speed to they reall y get? What is wireless capacity?

We must be very wary of “gap” reasoning (as per the bogus missile gap). Partial understanding can distort policy.

Sure, the Google offering is can do good by stirring up the market but let’s not got so fixated on speed that we can’t navigate the curves. I’m not against speed – I’m just worried about what we sacrifice for speed.
