But us technical folks are apparently viewed as more corruptible than lawyers or economists by mere employment. ANd therefore more likely to spin things to make their employers' businesses more profitable.
I think the it's the fear of the non-technical people that the technically competent would spin things in ways that they couldn't follow. They understand their own game and might think they can match what other people with their own background are doing, but if somebody who knows more about the subject matter than them comes along, they're no longer able follow their own agendas in ways they like.
