As a vegetarian, I have had to resort to many a strange option for  
food when traveling in exotic locales.

One thing  that does work as below: reheating pizza on an iron. I ask  
for fresh aluminium foils (2 pieces), which I use to cover the iron  
(works for protection both ways). I then put the pizza on top, and it  
crisps nicely.  No mess, no fuss.

One has to be careful doing it, of course (kids, don't try this at  
home....)
