Subject: Bletchley Park update

Dear all,

Brave Media have very kindly offered to host a blog for me about Bletchley Park where I can keep everyone up-to-date with what is going on:

http://savingbletchleypark.org/

I have populated the blog and will update it with any relevant/ significant news as it happens. Please send the link to anyone that you think may be interested and encourage them to sign the petition too, it is linked from the front page.

Also I have received a request from the National Museum of Computing which is based at BP:

The National Museum of Computing Limited Edition T-Shirt Poster

The National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park, a charitable trust, opened this year to "collect and restore computer systems developed in Britain and to enable people to explore that collection for inspiration, learning and enjoyment". It is a museum of computing rather than computers and has working exhibits ranging from a rebuilt Colossus, through the ICL 2966 mainframe to iconic 1970s and 1980s computers and a recently decommissioned air traffic control system.

Recently PGP Corp and IBM led a kick-start initiative to generate funds for the Museum and as part of their activities produced a limited edition t-shirt. The Museum believes that the t-shirt will particularly appeal to computer studies students and would be extremely grateful if you would print out the poster (a pdf file here: http://www.tnmoc.org/codetshirt.pdf ) and put it on your departmental notice board.

Many thanks for your continued support.

Sue
