So far they have pricing power with respect to both their suppliers and their customers. They are using their FairPlay rights management system as a competitive barrier. I suspect that their pricing power and use of DRM as a competitive weapon will not last much longer since other distributors may offer the same content more attractive pricing. Consumers and their advocates are already up in arms about the lack of interoperability between FairPlay and other DRM systems and may eventually prevail.
