Obviously, the damages to the students denied admission is enormous. (What is the Net Present Value of a Harvard B School degree these days?) So, does anyone have a case? The guy whose wife checked for him seems like a good candidate. He didn't do anything, yet as a result of this company's failure to implement reasonable security measures, his wife, who is probably not a computer programmer, was able to follow some simple instructions from a website to check his status. Their security failure allowed someone else to access the system costing him the value of that education. If a creative lawyer can figure out a way to make a class out of this group of people, it would be big money. ------ End of Forwarded Message ------------------------------------- You are subscribed as lists-ip () insecure org To manage your subscription, go to http://v2.listbox.com/member/?listname=ip Archives at: http://www.interesting-people.org/archives/interesting-people/
