The article does note one peculiar point: how can Verizon, a private company, negotiate exceptions to a (possible) state statute? Besides, even if Philly gets what it wants, it block other cities in the state from pursuing the same path, assuming that the governor signs the bill. --Steve Bellovin, http://www.research.att.com/~smb (me) http://www.wilyhacker.com (2nd edition of "Firewalls" book) ------------------------------------- You are subscribed as interesting-people () lists elistx com To manage your subscription, go to http://v2.listbox.com/member/?listname=ip Archives at: http://www.interesting-people.org/archives/interesting-people/
