The scheme, which has been detected at gas stations along major highways from Orlando to Naples, involves the use of an electronic decoding device -- known as a "skimmer" -- to intercept numbers from people's credit or bank cards as they slide them through the magnetic reader on the gas pump, officials said. One credit-card company told the state it has traced at least 100 fraud cases More: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/southflorida/sfl-cardtheft0124,0,6161 859.story?coll=sfla-home-headlinesP.
