Microsoft is trying their hand at the inverse to Apple's "Switch"
campaign.

Interestingly, where Apple makes sure to use real people and sign
off each ad with them saying their names, the "convert" that
Microsoft found doesn't seem to want to give her name.  In her
testimonial, we do learn that she is 5-foot-3, has a husband (who's
six feet even), they've rented a Lexus, she's a freelance writer,
and so on.  This makes it so much more convincing when she explains
that she likes "the Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP operating system."

Oh, and the Slashdot Distributed Search Engine (our readers) found
out what her second job is -- apparently she poses for stock photos.

Of course, this is only Microsoft Switch 1.0... I'm sure the PR
department's second release will be much-improved.  Maybe Microsoft
will even "dogfood" its own stock footage next time (they own
Corbis, a competitor to Getty... go figure)
