I've gotten 25 change of address messages from friends and I'm certain ATTbi could have made a deal to keep using the MX records while letting mediaone have its website. Will it happen again when ATTbi becomes comcast? That said, one little thing Thinmail (my startup) does is let members change their FROM address to a desired alternate address AFTER email leaves the SMTP server. We did it so people didn't have to reveal their cell or pager number when sending messages, but it also helps people on any ISP with a one-domain policy to present the email address they choose.
