Follow-ups to this included the report of another Canadian with a virtually identical reaction. ------- Forwarded message follows ------- [snip] Speaking of TV, the big buzz up here on morning news this morning is Dubbya's (or his speech-writers') latest gaffe, after "crusade" - Canada was not even mentioned in last night's address. The thinking here is, either a deliberate snub - because of Canada's "lax immigration policies" (like the INS ain't culpable for letting these guys into the US) OR - w/ "spoils" system a Texan (speechwriter) doesn't know much about the Northern border and "terra incognita" beyond.... On the other hand, as good obedient Canadians, our Media folks are also saying that "maybe we (Canadians) are just too sensitive about being habitually ignored" [snip] Interesting to note that a Canadian will sing "God Bless America" this evening at AmericaThon. Whine is Over Jim ------- End of forwarded message ------- -- Hugh D. Hyatt e-mail: mailto:hughhyatt () bluehen udel edu P.O.
