Now the DOE wants to recycle
"low level" radioactive waste into metals used for consumer products!!

Here's a relevant fact: since the atom bomb explosions during
and after the war, the entire biosphere is contaminated with
traces of radioactive dust. These inevitably find their way into
metals during manufacturing.

Some might argue that such low levels are irrelevant, but the facts
show otherwise. There are products for which the current level of
man-made radiation is simply unacceptable. To get "clean" steel for
such products, the industry recovers, at great expense, ships that
were scuttled during World War 1.

In other words, we've already poisoned the planet to a greater extent
than we're able to work with.
