Perhaps Microsoft should be encouraged to ship W2000 and XP with stronger security and a default configuration that prevents IP spoofing. I think it's inappropriate for a major vendor to release a product which has a high likelihood of causing its purchasers security problems and which will be used used as a platform for attacks on others.
