Subject: Doublclick disables opt-out?

Dave, in my column this week

(online version: http://weblog.mercurycenter.com/ejournal/2000/01/26 --
print: http://www.mercurycenter.com/svtech/columns/gillmor/docs/dg012800.htm)

I showed people how to opt out of DoubleClick's tracking. It may be just a
coincidence, but readers have reported (and my experience seems to verify)
that you can no longer opt out. Instead they got a login dialog box for
clients.

So, as of this moment, you can't opt out of DoubleClick surveillance.
