This is an increase of 20% since November of last year. More than 700,000 homes in Norway have Internet access. The percentage of women using the net is on the increase, currently 51% of women have access as compared to 58% for men. The Gallup study shows that 800,000 Norwegians use the net daily while 1.6 million surf the net at least once a month. Norwegian Gallup states that one reason for the increase in Internet use is an increase in the number of offers for "free" access without monthly fees.
