we had a small tornado through town about 2 nights ago, which shut down
power in a large portion of the city.  I was online when darkness hit.  The
only remaining light was the blinking yellow light of my old style ricochet
modem.  Yellow light of course indicating that it never lost touch with the
network even though large portions of the city were with out power
(including the streetlights).
