But of course it is a NATIONAL IMPERATIVE FOR THE SURVIVAL OF AMERICAN
SOCIETY to pass a flag "desecration" amendment, and to additionally hack
the First Amendment to allow for public moneys to support prayer in
school, subsidy of parochial schools, and the erection of religious
monuments on public property. 


Gotta love our political system. Where else can you laugh so hard it
hurts, be shocked into tears, sweat in terror, and be stirred to anger and
action? Even Hollywood can't pull that off all at once.




For those who aren't watching these issues, the flag "desecration"
amendment is almost totally guaranteed passage and ratification at this
point, while the "religious freedom" amendment is gaining steam on a daily
basis.
