From: mogens () csd-d-3 Stanford EDU (Christian L. Mogensen) Yes - the Web and the worlds favourite browser got a full page in today's New York Times business section. Large photo of Supercomputing Center's boss sitting with Mosaic on front page of Business section. Surprisingly, they got everything right - all the network tech, all the jargon and even managed to mention some of the problems. The article touts Mosaic as the 'killer app' the internet world has been waiting for. Or rather, that Joe Average has been waiting for... They see people like O'Reilly and others building new commercial services off the Web. Also mentions the effect that Mosaic has had on network congestion. Finally - it mentions Internet-in-a-box that will include a dial-up version of a web browser (apparently), so the great unwashed masses of the world and connect to the Web and the internet without a lot of hassles. Best quote: It's the difference between the brain and the mind. Explore the Internet and you find cables and computers; explore the World Wide Web and you find information.
