Are you on a private network? Often ISPs and especially cable modem service providers give their internal services (those for just their customers) a 10.x.x.x network. I wouldn't worry about it. --guy -----Original Message----- From: RB [mailto:gt40 () HOME COM] Sent: Wednesday, February 02, 2000 8:51 PM To: INCIDENTS () SECURITYFOCUS COM Subject: Strange traceroute Hi all while doing a traceroute to my news server the first IP address is 10.76.X.X anyone know why ? Isn't this a private IP? Makes me kinda suspicious.............. Thanks RB
