RE: Live CD?

One problem w/a KNOPPIX live CD is that you would need to enable logging
some how. You could either do remote syslogging, mount a usb device, or
log via an NFS mount. Problem w/NFS is that now you have given up the
name of another host in your network that also has read/write access to
your logging area.

You could also start w/a smaller Live CD (damnsmalllinux 50 Mb
(http://www.damnsmalllinux.org) or Bonzai 185 Mb
(http://developer.berlios.de/projects/bonzai )) add your application(s)
then remaster the CD. Problem w/Knoppix is that it is already 650+ Mb.
You could start w/a smaller live CD, add your apps and still have it fit
on a 650 Mb floppy.

Just my two cents.

Is there anything moving along on the LIVE CD idea for honeypots? I
know the knoppix distro is being modified and used for many other
purposes. Just wanted to see if there is anything being done to set up
a LIVE honeypot CD. This would sure help out the difficulty in setting
everything up.
