Snort and SSL

Hello everyone,

i've been looking into the snort list archives, searching for any type
of support for ssl connections. I found alternatives like setting the
connection via proxy, but in a honeynet environment (or at least in my
honeynet environment) it means another machine and another problem (more
resources and a new machine to be secured).

Does someone know a better solution to set IDS + SSL in a unique control
machine?
