An air-conditioning technician stumbled on equipment used in an
alleged Sydney ATM skimming scam, leading to the arrest and charging
of two men, police say.


Two Romanian men, aged 32 and 37, were arrested about 7.15pm (AEST)
yesterday by detectives at a hotel on Victoria St at Potts Point in
inner Sydney where they had been staying.

Last month, five Romanian men were charged with the theft of almost $1
million from up to 5,000 cardholders' accounts using a skimming device
attached to an ATM in central Melbourne.
