"Finland's National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) says that Nokia did not break any laws by handing over employees' email data to the NBI. In the spring of 2005, the electronics giant asked the central criminal police department to look into whether staff members used email to leak company secrets to Chinese competitors. Nokia has since been publicly accused of violating privacy laws." --clip-- More at http://www.yle.fi/news/id101279.html Related (Oct '05): Email surveillance of Nokia staff leads to malfeasance suspicions - Preliminary investigation: Police believed to have been aware of monitoring of email http://www.hs.fi/english/print/1101981439855 Microcell company mentioned: http://private.dnsstuff.com/tools/whois.ch?ip=www.microcell.fi Juha-Matti _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
