Ok this story made me rewrite my predictions for 2008: 1:) The UK and Germanic security talent will move to SeaLand and take over the reins of leadership in the World InfoSec Community. 2:) 2008 is declared the The Year of Ajax Exploits and as a result "Jython on Rails" is adopted by almost every Web2.0 vendor. 3:) CourtTV's new show "Tiger Team" will cause a wave of US Soccer Moms to "haxor the planet" and hold all the worlds economies for ransom after joining the Germanic and UK security talent on Sealand. 4:) IPv6 will still not be widely implemented and IPv4 will still not be efficiently implemented. Angst continues to be reflected on nanog, as IPv6 Allocation Threads take up 5% of all computer storage devices. 5:) More virus def updates will continue to quarantine files as AV/AS vendors work on their heuristics. These will not quarantine system files, but rather every digital copy of the YouTube video "man racks himself with skateboard". The AV/AS vendors join the Soccer Moms and EU security experts on SeaLand and quadruple the ransom on the Worlds economies for the safe return of said video. 6:) err, Vista.. making a screaming comeback, takes over 100% of the workstation market... Yeah, that sounds about right.. -JP _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
