I'm actually surprised to hear that Massachusetts has a concealed carry law. Most gun shootings in Boston are gang members shooting other gang members. My guess is that many gang members are also carrying around illegal concealed weapons. Richard

Do you know if gunmakersever do this kind of research? BTW, in spite of this story, Massachusetts actually has one of thelowestgun murder rates in the country. I suspect this is true becausebecause wealso have one of the lowest gun ownership rates in the country.---> I suspect it's true because we have a nice "concealed carry law" that allows a law abiding citizen to carry a weapon after going through a background check and receiving your permit. Florida is another good example of this in action. If you were a bad guy, would you want to hold up someone that you know could be armed? Hehe, I certainly wouldn't :-)Richard -----Original Message----- From: Brian Loe [mailto:knobdy () gmail com] Sent: Sunday, May 06, 2007 6:43 PM To: Richard M. Attached is a 2005 email that I sent to executives at Rugers about one of their products being "used" in my neighborhood. Inever got a reply. My assumption by the lack of reply is that these executives weren't too interested in learning who their "customers"really are.........RichardI screwed up and read the damn article - go figure, a 16 year old who can't legally - by federal law - even be in possession of a handgun... I guess laws don't work on criminals after all. _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
