The computer glitch grounded flights for at least two hours this morning. At 10:10 a.m., United officials said the computers that record a plane's weight, balance and fuel had failed for about two hours, but were back up and running. However, several flights were delayed for at least two hours. The reason for the failure is unknown, but a United spokesman says the computers were down from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and that planes were beginning to depart around 10:30 a.m. "Due to United Airlines' computer issues reported earlier this morning, United is reporting delays averaging one to two hours for all inbound and outbound flights at O'Hare International Airport,'' Chicago Aviation Department spokeswoman Wendy Abrams said.
