At least it took a 6 year old human - somebody managed to hack a Diebold voting machine with the assistance of a trained chimp (ISTR that it involved popping the case open and swapping a flash card).
But the point is, if you leave your computer in an unlocked room (as most do) and then do not check your machine for tampering (or run a service that logs and alerts on physical changes to the system - which are then reviewed routinely) you can easily get "hacked". However, this article was much more about sensationalism than security. Too bad its easier to teach a 6 year old how to unplug and plug in a keyboard than it is to teach a journalist good journalism. _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
