No, we write it forwards, as 13-10-2006. 
 
The world should really standardize of the 2006-10-13 format so that dates
are like times with the units going from big to small.  If one also uses
leading zero (eg., 2006-01-02), then date strings are alphabetically
sortable.

It would be better to have a leading zero on the year too, otherwise we're 
in danger of making the same mistake that caused the Millenium Bug.

Of course, that would just postpone the problem. So maybe we need seveal 
leading zeros.

00000000002006-10-13 

That will put off the problem for, um, quite a long time.

Whichever way round the date is written - 13-10-2006 or 2006-10-13 - the
total comes out to 13

What if I write it as 10-13-2006, does it still add up to 13?
