There is no Mac malware. Well, there's no OS X malware. Well, that's not a virus/worm, it's a Trojan. You can't slip anything past the Apple update system. You can't compromise a Mac because you need root privileges. What's a rootkit? What's social engineering? Why are you bothering me with this stuff when Windows is such a crock?
Have you been spying on my communications? Indeed, that's pretty much what inspired my blog entry. Add to your list: "But anything it tried to do would cause the Admin password dialog to pop up."
If you like reading that sort of thing, you can find an archive here: http://digg.com/tech_news/Mac_attacks_rare_but_rising My comments are the ones by "ryanlrussell", that have all been voted down.I have to admit a certain joy that there is now an actual virus, because some of them kept saying "there are NO viruses for OS X". Not that they know the difference between a virus and any other kind of malware, but I need to be technically correct, of course.
