Via "Watch Your End". [snip] Yet another laptop has been stolen with customers personal data including credit card and debit card information for 68,000 YMCA members. The laptop was stolen from a locked office at the YMCAs administrative offices in Rhode Island. The data stolen was varied, ranging from Social Security numbers, debit card and credit card numbers to childrens medical information. No mention has been made by the YMCA regarding whether the data was encrypted or not, which leads one to believe that it was not encrypted . The laptop was discovered missing on May 24th, when workers who were looking for another stolen laptop discovered it was missing as well. The original laptop they were looking for was new and did not have any data on it.
