No, you don't need to warp time to go faster than light unless your flux capacitor is jammed. All you really need is to have slightly less than no mass. This is easily accomplished by altering the gravitational constant of the universe. Of course it's interesting that the thing needs to go mach 5 before I'll light. I'm betting on well over 10 years R&D before it's ready for prime time, of course by then there will be something better and more economical that does the same thing...

The test engines need a rocket boost as they will not ignite until reaching a speed of Mach 5 or five times the speed of light. The engine sucks oxygen from the atmosphere to burn its hyrdrogen fuel. Scramjet engines are expected to be ready for commercial use in about 10 years. Credit: The University of Queensland Andromeda, here we come! Or... Talk about a kinetic weapon!Five times the speed of LIGHT???Who knew, and here I thought they'd have to warp time to travel faster than the speed of light! _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
