It's human nature to ascribe the inability to tell one's ass from a hole in the ground to incompetence, rather than a successful camoflage paint on either hole. This is fueled further by more human nature: if it turns out that *you* can't find it either, it's easier to claim incompetence of your own than admit that somebody managed, without you noticing, to paint both the hole and your rectum with a nice camoflage patter.....
