I for one don't see why anyone would want to
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
mess with Google's algorithm. While it may be true that certain
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
abuses of the system occur, there are also advantages to the
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
current system that allow Bloggers and others to draw the public
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
eye to important facts and events that the mainstream media
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
would never report!<P>

In any system where bad things happen
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
we have to weigh the bad things with the
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
greater good. Look at the highway system
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
for example! It turns out that if we all drove
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
twelve miles per hour, we could save thousands
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
of lives every year. But by driving 55 miles per
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
hour we gain a convenience that is worth the
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
death of a few thousand innocents.<P>

Kind of reminds me of the novel Maelstorm by Peter Watts
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
One of the main characters has the job of containing plagues
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
or isolating diseases. To do so, he sends in robotic arsonists
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
to burn down and "contain" any town that shows signs of infection.
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
To prevent him from using his powers for personal gain
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
he has been treated with a chemical called "Guilt Trip"
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
which will cause a grand mal seizure if he tries to do so.
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
Of course, the fact he kills thousands of people every week
<font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR> for a living also has to be treated chemically. <font size="1" color="white"><a href="http://www.askgar.com/";>Cool Security Guy</A></font><BR>
They call that one Absolution.<P>

I'd like some of that one now. 8-)
