Ha! I was casually poking around the mother of all U-S media smoke screens
to find they (Joris Evers) have done a big suck me off ciphertrust article
about the new site

Ciphertrust is a security intelligence company, so the source is "legit",
although theres no easy way to beat phishing, even with big websites asking
you to report incidents, sadly it will never be enough.

The solution will only come from web browser developers partnershiping
together to create a new technology that will allow to validate corporate
websites, which are the most popular from phishing, like Google, Yahoo,
Paypal, eBay. However even if the major web browsers do work with the major
dot-coms to develop a new technology to protect their business interests,
there will always be phishing going on outwidth of the corporate circuit.
And while phishing is a new phrase in the industry, the technique is as old
as computers its self.

I am curious to get information about a website www.phishregistry.org.
It is run by a company called Ciphertrust. Google searches have produced
nothing.

I am curious to hear any feedback about the site -- legitimacy ,
effectiveness, etc.

Any thoughts would be of use..

Thanks
